| Welcome to Packers |
Packers is a club for kayakers and canoeists based in Peterborough, UK and is the leading coaching club in Eastern England. Of the c.140 members, around 25 hold coaching qualifications in kayak or open canoe disciplines. This gives members an unrivaled opportunity to develop their skills and gain qualifications if they so wish. Beginners are always welcome and we have all the necessary equipment to get you started.
Activities:
- Regular Thursday evening club nights through the summer (May to September)
- Regular Wednesday evening coaching sessions also through the summer (May to September)
- Regular Friday evening swimming pool sessions through the winter (October to April)
- Weekend trips to white-water venues (e.g. Dee, Tryweryn, Dart, Swale, Ure, Tees)
- Longer expeditions in the summer (e.g. Alpine trips, Paddling on the sea, Canoe camping trips in Scotland)
- A wide variety of training events
- Assessments for BCU qualifications
- Social events

| Announcement: South West Canoe Show & KanuMesse |

Gene17 will be presenting at the South West Canoe Show, in Exeter, Devon 25th September. This is the season opening event for South West paddling, and now in its 7th year hosted by AS Watersports, its a great time to catch up with people, hear of Summer adventures and enjoy their great Pig Roast. Gene17 will also be at KanuMesse checking out the new products for 2011, needless to say we are always working with our partners to develop products, some of which will be released at KanuMesse, along with a host of new products. It’s always an exciting show, and chance to see where the industry is heading, and to see whether paddlers are shaping the future of products they want.
